Or, if you live in the area and aren’t planning to attend the meeting, you can just join us for the PAC event even if not attending the meeting! History: Miller’s Grocery was in continuous operation as a country store for over 75 years in the once bustling whistle-stop community of Christiana, TN that included a 3-story hotel, a bank, a telephone office and some 15 other businesses. In 1995, the building was restored as an antique filled, country cafe featuring home-style Southern cooking and award winning “from scratch” desserts. The name “Miller’s Grocery” remains in memory of long-time proprietor Mr. Stanley Miller and as a tribute to a by-gone era.                     ...

Are you making an imPACt?

We have begun setting the wheels in motion that will move TANA forward, navigating our profession through the uncharted future that is today’s healthcare. TANA is making an imPACt, so let’s all be a part of it. Have you ever thought what paying your AANA dues does for you? Do you know where your money goes? As paying members of the AANA, a portion of your dues are divided among the national and respective state organizations. Additionally, you get access to the AANA website, as well as receiving issues of the AANA Journal and Bulletin. NONE of your annual dues goes to your national or state PACs. It is very likely that most of you don’t realize that by paying your national dues, you are supporting your state association. So, the number of active CRNAs in a state has a significant bearing on the budget of the respective state association. In essence ,the more CRNAs in a state than the larger the operating budget. This is a fairly simple concept to grasp. Digging a little deeper, ask yourself ,”where does PAC money come from”? PAC’s are formed to support the political interest of organizations. PAC’s cannot be funded by organizational dues. PAC’s can only be funded by donations from the organizations members. NONE of the annual dues that you pay go toward TANA-PAC.  TANA-PAC is solely supported by members who donate to it. Take a minute to process this … in order for TANA to remain strong, it is essentially only protected by the members who contribute to TANA-PAC. Are you prepared to contribute? Any amount is appreciated. If you give $30 per month, or a dollar a day, you will be making a huge imPACt in the protection of your profession....
