Please Support Second Harvest Food Bank at the TANA Meeting! October 3-5

TANA Members:  Each year at the TANA Annual Meeting we support a charity. This year at the TANA 77th Annual Meeting we will be supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.  If you are attending the meeting we ask that you PLEASE bring canned goods. A can, a bag of food, or a donation. ANYTHING WILL HELP. If you will not be at the meeting and would still like to make a donation please visit secondharvestmidtn.org.   Students: We will keep track of your donations, and there will be a MEN Vs. WOMEN contest! Important TANA 77th Annual Fall Convention Deadlines

September 19th is the deadline for early bird registration for the event itself.  Visit the event page to register.  You can pay by credit card, or you can print an invoice to mail to our office along with your check. Embassy Suites has made a group rate available for attenders of the event.  The deadline to receive this discounted rate is September 16th.  However, we strongly suggest contacting the hotel as soon as possible, as rooms tend to book quickly.  You can visit their website to reserve your room.  You can also can call them at 615-890-4464 or 1-800-EMBASSY.  Make sure to reference the code “TNA” to receive the special group rate. It’s Time to Nominate the 2014 Practitioner of the Year!

It’s time to nominate an outstanding CRNA in your area for the Patty Cornwell Practitioner of the Year Award!  The purpose of this award is to “recognize excellence in anesthesia practice as a clinician, educator and/or researcher.” Nominations may be submitted by TANA members through the September 1, 2014 deadline.  Nominees will be voted on by the TANA Board of Directors, and the winner will be recognized at the TANA Annual Meeting to be held in the fall of 2014. Eligibility: The award shall be given to a TANA member in good standing who has made a significant contribution to the profession of nurse anesthesia in Tennessee.
